The 2019-2020 topic for policy is: “Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce Direct Commercial Sales and/or Foreign Military Sales of arms from the United States.” This card file offers a starting point for how feminist foreign policy could connect with the arms sales topic. Most of the cards in the file are meant for an aff that ends all arms sales, but there is also evidence relating to the way women are affected by arms sales to Saudi Arabia. An explanation of how to use these cards to create an aff will be posted next week.
